What we do
Sales. Reconditioned washers and dryers, tested before they leave the shop. Every machine comes with a 90-day warranty, and delivery, installation, and haul-away of your old machine are all included in the price. Tell us your budget and your space and we will point you at the machine that fits, not the most expensive one on the floor. One thing we do not do: buy machines from the public. Sales only go one direction here.
Repair. Service calls for washers and dryers, and basic refrigerators too. The service call is $69; repair pricing depends on the machine and the part, so call and describe the problem. We work on most brands, with two notes: we do not service Bosch, and GE is case by case, so mention it when you call. If your machine can be saved for less than replacing it, that is what we will tell you.
Parts. Belts, water valves, drain pumps, motors, and control boards at the counter, with directions on how to put them in if you want to do the job yourself.
Advice. Free. Call and describe the problem. If it is a ten dollar part and a screwdriver, we will say so.
Where we go
Service calls cover the county: Encinitas down to San Ysidro, and from the coast inland to Campo. Ramona sits a little outside that box on a map, but Ramona is home, so Ramona counts.

About the shop
Goldsmith Appliance is run by Paul Goldsmith and a small crew. The philosophy is simple: repair first. A washer with a worn coupler does not need to be replaced, it needs a coupler. People around Santee, Lakeside, and El Cajon have been trading our number on Nextdoor for years, which is the kind of advertising you cannot buy.
